The CommBank Academy of Savings is a series of short videos that give you insights into the psychology of humans in their pursuit of savings. These videos involved interviews, complimented with animation that explain the best ways for people to save.
The focus for this year was a more humanised approach to the animation involving more people and more relatable illustrations. This gave us a chance to further explore the possibilities of the current CommBank style with new techniques, colours and animation styles.
I helped the concept development, storyboarding, illustration and animation of the whole project. Because of the emphasis on people, I led other designers and animators to help break down assets, illustrate certain elements and set up the files so that the animation process was easier and less technical.
The result was a series of 4 videos, at varying lengths that were shown across social and on the CommBank website.
