Designing for optimal data collection

For this part of the Australian Digital Health Agency, effective data capture was as much a technical requirement as it was a key metric in helping shape the future of this platform. Previous iterations of this site, provided limited functionality in capturing data, thus returning limited data for analysis. Part of our role was to ensure that any future data capture was captured correctly through approachable language, forms that were easily validated, and clean UI design.

Defining a new identity

While the Australian Digital Health Agency has a digital brand presence, We took the opportunity to develop and extend these guidelines in a cleaner, more friendly look and feel. These new guidelines were also rigorously tested for AA compliance to ensure visibility for our massive audience.

We used bolder shapes and colours to better define the brand.

Ensuring scalability

We ensured that the site design was modular, to ensure scalability and help define the digital framework for all the work moving forward. The project launch was staggered, requiring the site be launched in stages. We ensured that by designing it in this way, we could guarantee the site would scale for the short term, but have enough interest for any further developments.

We defined a content template that allowed us to focus on building scalable modules.
